Microscope 425 is a stereoscopic microscope but not much information was found about this instrument or its maker. The base of the instrument in engraved with the serial number 93246 but there are no other marks. However, the eyepieces contain the name “INAMI”, which may correspond to the Japanese firm Inami & Co. Ltd., originally founded in 1924 by Chikaichi Inami for sales of glasses for medical use. In 1955, the company started manufacturing optical equipment for ophthalmology. The company was incorporated in 1975. The instrument has its original box.
